Wine, Women, and Words by Billy Rose Illustrated by Salvador Dali scarce second printing first edition 1948.

A look into the early years of the entertainment industry and the life of the notorious business mogul and club owner Billy Rose.

Billy Rose was a writer, chess player, showman and producer way back when. His book is not particularly biographical, it’s more of a memoir touching very lightly on his early years.

Rose had a very eventful life, starting his career as a stenographer and working his way into the sideline of lyricist and eventually went on to be a club owner and Broadway producer.

The little man got around, rubbed elbows with the rich and famous, and condenses his experiences into something less than 300 pages.

Stories of people in organized crime in the 1930s & 40s, Hollywood stars, and even an Olympic swimmer that he married and divorced. This book is a comical memoir filled with many unique and movie-esque stories.

This memoir being generously illustrated by Salvador Dali, features its original dust jacket in okay condition. The book itself is in good condition other than slight foxing to the pages.
