Good+ first-issue dust jacket (with the original $2.50 price and no mention of later printings), some rubbing and wear to the sides and cover, some chipping on corners and top and bottom of the spine. Protected in mylar. Very good hardcover with some light edge wear to the top and bottom of the spine. Pages are clean.
Hemingway’s only novel set in the United States, To Have and Have Not explores themes of economic disparity and moral ambiguity in Depression-era Key West. A significant work in his oeuvre, adapted into the classic 1944 film starring Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall.
