This well-preserved piece of modern literature history comes with a letter of provenance from a bookseller in 1995 stating they came from Pynchon’s collection and were gifted to his friend along with other first editions in foreign languages.
Finding a book that belonged to Pynchon is incredibly hard to find. His signatures are incredibly uncommon and sought after so much so that the only ones out there are usually priced at $20,000 or higher.
While this book may not be signed by him… the fact that it belonged to his collection and has been so beautifully preserved over the last 45+ years makes for an amazing addition to any Thomas Pynchon collection!!
