Undated, as issued, with research placing it as either 1886 or 1887 (after the last date mentioned in the book and before Naumann died in 1888). Blue cloth with elaborate gilt and black designs, gilt edges all around, and chocolate brown endpapers. Profusely illustrated. viii + 1332pp. Front hinges of Vol 1 & 5 starting but all other bindings solid. Rubbing at head/tail of all spines and spine faces starting to fade from sun. Corners bumped. Textblocks very clean. Overall, Very Good condition.
