This book belonged to the library of Larry McMurtry, a successful author and screenwriter, also known as Texas’ most famous author. In his personal life, McMurty was an ardent book collector – his home collection in Archer City, Texas, was said to be more than 30,000 volumes strong at the time of his passing in 2021. He may be recognized for penning the screenplay, “Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas’ ‘, as well as numerous other films and books.
