In this first printing, SALLY was still called BABY [unnamed to this point] & SPOT the dog was still a TERRIER. In later editions he became a COCKER SPANIEL. PUFF the cat was still called, LITTLE MEW, as of this first printing [she was PUFF in later editions].
The very first of the famous Elson-Gray Basic Readers, introducing Dick, Jane, & Baby followed by nine short stories, using a 68-word vocabulary – the birth of the original Dick & Jane series.
