The first book in the classic science fiction series, followed by Dune Messiah, Children of Dune, God Emperor of Dune, Heretics of Dune and Chapterhouse Dune. Dune has been adapted several times now, first as a film by David Lynch, then a mini-series for the Sci Fi Channel, and most recently as films directed by Denis Villeneuve. The series has been continued in print, as well, with more than two dozen additional novels set in the Dune universe by other authors.
