Photos have evenly aged, Two of the photos show the Pink Elephant Restaurant of Boca Grande, Florida, a renowned restaurant and gathering spot with a rich history. Established in 1947 it quickly became a popular venue for both locals and visitors. By 1950, it was a bustling establishment, especially favored by charter fishing guides and their clients. Several photos show construction. It is likely that these are photos of the early construction of Busch Gardens, Tampa. The construction of Busch Gardens Tampa Bay began in 1959, with the park opening to the public in March 1959 as a part of the Anheuser-Busch brewery complex. Initially called Tampa’s Bird Gardens, it was a combination of a botanical garden and a bird sanctuary. Two photos show mushroom like structures with gnomes which became part of the Leprechaun Village. Additional photos show the Regal Beer distribution center. Regal Beer was a notable regional beer brand in Florida, particularly in the Miami area, established in 1934. In 1958, Anheuser-Busch acquired the Regal Brewery, continuing to produce Regal Beer for a few years before eventually discontinuing the brand. Photos also show the family in residence, and scenes of the local area. From the estate of Elene B. Roberson, the daughter of August A. Busch Jr., who was the president of Anheuser-Busch.
