This steel engraving originates from a Dutch edition of ‘Meyer’s Universum’, published and printed by the ‘Bibliographical Institute’ seated in Hildburghausen, Germany in 1837. View of mountain Tabor, Israel. Mount Tabor is located in Lower Galilee, at the eastern end of the Jezreel Valley, 17 kilometres west of the Sea of Galilee. It is believed by many to be the site of the Transfiguration of Jesus.
