In Alaska he tours the waters of Alaska, through the archipelago to Wrangel, on to Juneau and the famous Treadwell Mine, over the White Pass to Lake Bennett, then to Glacier Bay, Muir Glacier, and Killisnoo, and finally to Sitka, the then capital of Alaska, and off to Yellowstone Park where he describes the geysers and hot springs, the upper geyser basin, Yellowstone Lake, etc.
