A must have for any serious collector of Thomas Pynchon. Printed in 1978. First edition.
One of 1500 printed copies. Before his debut novel, V, Pynchon had written several short stories that had become largely inaccessible to most readers.
Aloes Books took on the mantle of spreading access to the works, illegally publishing several unauthorised volumes which usually ran into later printings, such was their underground success. Indeed, neither Pynchon nor his publishers were interested in pursuing the matter.
This copy an exceptional copy near fine with an ink inscription ‘P Macgregor’ to the title page.
